Well, first of all, welcome! The first step in solving any situation is taking a long hard look at things and finding the areas that can be improved. Rinse, Recycle. Success is not an end zone; it's a process, an exhilarating and often times exhausting quest that we embark upon each day, even if we are taking baby steps, we are moving forward in our lives. That is how I have chosen to view success. Life has relentlessly tossed curve balls my way and I've had to learn to bob and weave as well as bootstrap my self back off the floor, many, many times. That is my favorite part of success coaching: Failureology! Success is not so much about our accolades, its about our scars and our inner warrior earning, eventually our own inner sense of championship. It's about unleashing the untapped potential within ourselves and creating the life we desire, the life we deserve. The drive for success begins with a burning desire, an insatiable hunger to achieve, but realizing success means pushing ourselves way beyond our limitations, and to not stop, no matter what. My Motto has been: I will either accomplish my dreams or die trying. That mind set, for me, was good enough to help keep me pushing my Next Button and alleviating alot of the what ifs that could have paralyzed my motion.
The primary challenge, believe it or not, is envisioning the goal. You've got to know what you want. However, you need to first solidify your WHY?! The dreams need to excite you, evoke your soul, and push you to take massive action. But really a to do list of goals is not enough; I promise. To over come the inevitable adversities that will come your way, you are going to conjure your strength from your WHY. What is it that is within your core that is the reason you are willing to get up each day to live, to fight, to endlessly keep on going? Success is going to take consistent, focused action towards achieving the dreams you have. Though, it has to be worth it. The reason you want to do it needs to become the fire in your furnace that enables you to burn the midnight oil. Rinse, Repeat. What is your WHY?
It's more that just raising your standards, committing to excellence, and pushing yourself to be the very best version of yourself. Its the emotion, the sentiment, the purpose behind that decision. For me. it was my children. I simply have other human beings to support. I have myself to support and I like to challenge myself. However, challenge is an understatement. I found along my journey that success is at times going to require sacrificing oneself and the creature comforts that we enjoy. Its going to get gritty, you are going to feel tired, sweaty, dirty. You may at multiple times collapse on your bed in tears. Let. It. Out. Then get back up tomorrow, rested, refreshed and renewed. You will find in time the days after your hardest days, don't feel so hard! It gets easier! With time, and as your past efforts accumulate you gain momentum and it begins to carry you through.
To do this, you've got to master your mindset. Your thoughts, and your core beliefs, your emotions and how you express them will determine the driving force behind your actions. Fuel your mind, your spirit, with empowering beliefs and a positive outlook. AVOID negative thoughts, negative people and you'll find the strength to overcome any obstacles that come your way and believe me, there will be many. To succeed you will need to embrace challenges, learning from failures, and continuously grow and evolve through each daily stride.
Another critical aspect of success is mastering your time and energy. Time is our most precious resource, time is the one aspect of life that is priceless because absolutely none of us know how much time we truly have. When we treat our time like the immensely valuable resource that it is and we stop wasting our time, we can achieve far more in our lives than we ever truly imagined. Be explicitly intentional about where you focus your energy and prioritize the activities that align with your goals. Eliminate distractions, create empowering routines, and stay disciplined.
If you can get to the point that you use your potty breaks constructively than you have reached the pinnacle of the journey to success. This is the level that we need to evaluate our utilization of time. Using our potty breaks to meditate or as a sound studio for our creative process, can really help you to construct an efficient schedule and maximize your utilization of time. No one puts much thought into their potty breaks, or their smoke breaks, snack breaks etc but these little ventures away from our work desk can become egregious.
I have witnessed smokers taking twenty minute breaks every hour on the hour. Now lets calculate that quickly: 60-20 =40 x 8 = 320 minutes of productivity. 8 x 20= 160 minutes of waste. This is in the work day!! 1/3 of the work day was being wasted every single day by these little breaks or as many like to think of as "earned rewards" Ultimately it is disfunction. These breaks, such as some people spending hours a day in the rest room. These immense blocks of time do not need to be squandered. We all have mini computers in our pockets and can just as easily choose to be productive with them versus watching shorts during all of that time. When we look at our selves and how we function honestly, we can reevaluate how we use time productively and how we waste time. Finding our roadblocks, our time suckers and our energy drains is the KEY to upleveling our lives.
Success requires energy and vitality. We need to take care of ourselves and we need to plan this into our days, weeks and years. Fuel your body with nutritious foods, engage in regular exercise, and always prioritize self-care. When you feel good physically and emotionally, you'll be better equipped to handle challenges and seize opportunities. When we don't take care of ourselves, first, we have nothing left to give to anything or anyone.
Studying at Wharton Business School- Unicorn 1 Billion + course I was enlightened of the one key factor of companies that thrive on to Unicorn status and those that potentially fail. Adaptability. The world is constantly changing, and those who thrive are the ones who can adapt and innovate. This was revolutionary for me within understanding how I ever made my way through to be successful. I had not stopped along the way to revel in the adaptations I had to make, I just instinctively pivot. Once I began coaching I realized this is the biggest reason for failure. Most people stop. They quit at adversity. Once we learn to embrace change, see it as an opportunity for growth, and be willing to pivot when necessary, we are well on our way to achieving our dreams, no matter what comes our way,
In conclusion, success is not an overnight phenomenon; it's the result of consistent effort, continuous growth, and unwavering commitment to your dreams. Set inspiring goals, master your mindset, build meaningful relationships, manage your time and energy & stop wasting it, prioritize your well-being, embrace change, and give back. Success is within your reach. You have the power to shape your destiny and create a life of abundance and fulfillment. Live with passion, live with purpose, and live with a sense of absolute certainty that you are destined for greatness. Avoid your pitfalls, avoid Nay Sayers and always absurdly believe you can do anything you put your mind to. Believe you can or die trying!
